For those who just want the “dailies” — what we shot today (integrated into the whole!) — scroll to the bottom for the Can Vikings Learn to be Kind video (as of this evening).

T-MINUS 4 DAYS!

Friday, March 5th is fast approaching!

And… the stress build-up has started!

STRESS EXAMPLES

The other day, I got home and looked for the two short video I’d shot of Ms. Sakiko for “Vikings.” I found… to lovely still shots. No video!

Well, today I was shooting Ray and Sadie. Got home to drop their pieces into “Vikings” and discovered… I had lovely ultra-slo-mo videos, nothing useful!

But I could pull out some a few stills of The Lady Sadie! Will have to reshoot tomorrow!

OF JOKE MASTERS & SPIES

Shot Maxwell (an undercover reporter) and Tanner (Giggle the Joke Master) today. Had great fun with impromptu costuming!

Tanner wasn’t so sure about the lei — discovered in our teacher’s office (a.k.a, “the closet”) — but ended up walking around with it long after his shoot.

And, yes, Maxwell’s spy device is an AC controller with a set of old smartphone ear bugs taped on the back!

COURAGE / KINDNESS DATA VIDEOS STARTED

We sent our Courage / Kindness questionnaire throughout HNS, and some students volunteered to videotape their answers. We started shooting our 2G volunteers today.

• Most courageous thing you’ve seen?

• Bravest thing you’ve ever done?

DICTATION + WORK + MINDFULNESS + PLAY

Remarkably, we had our first 1/2 & 1/2 Daily Dictation, and Ms. Erin and I agreed this is a great way to give student even more personal phonics/writing attention.

2G rocks on with its 100% Independent Work. Ms. Erin begin going over Zoom Live lines with those students who have them and… she says readers are on the ball!

Ibuki, our white-tern chick, survived the windy, rainy weekend. She’s growing!

After lunch, 2G were mindful about balancing a wooden egg on a spoon while dashing up and down the green… yes… without dropping it!

And we had some time for Imaginative Play at the end of the day.
