CHICK?
We have a pair of white terns checking out a possible nesting site in one of the three kukui-nut trees near the main entrance gate.
There is little more exciting than some white tern brooding (30 days) followed by the emergence of an adorable chick followed by watching parents deliver sashimi to the chick for many, many weeks followed by watching the chick learn to fly all about the playground!
TESTING OUT THE “GOOD CAMERA” (LAST WEEK)
Dr. Cat brought his “good camera” in to see if it would work with 2G ‘22-’23. It does.
But— the batteries needed recharging, so there were only a few shots with the telephoto last week.
MONDAY: MO’ MENTORS!
Today, we had three 2G Mentors: Isla, Belle and Emily.
They helped us with 3-Station Rotation — Math, Phonics & Reading — which they all remembered well!
HOMEWORK 20-20-10-10
They helped “pack” 2G’s first Homework 20-20-10-10 folders! (Very helpful on a busy Monday!)
LUNCH — “FAMLY STYLE”
FAIRY TALES
Last week we read Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and Hansel and Gretel.
Today, after an energetic PE, and in lovely 68F A/C, we read Rumpelstiltskin, Goldilocks and the Three Bars, and The Three Little Pigs!
10 MINUTES OF FREE TIME!
OUR #1 RULE BROKEN ALL DAY LONG!
Sadly, our #1 rule in 2G—
No laughing
Smiling
Giggling
Smirking
Jumping with joy
Or any other signs of merriment
— was repeatedly broken today.
THE BIG QUESTION
How many more perfect days can we endure?
