  • Write a story about a girl or boy who can’t remember the Order of Operations.

  • In the beginning, your character is so confused — what to do first, when to go from left to right and when not to, etc.

  • Look at IXL Level G / section H and I for ideas!

  • Perhaps your character gets magical help — a way to remember the order!

  • In the end, your charcter understands the Order of Operations — and will never forget it!

• You don’t need to worry about the EXPONENTS as we have not done them yet

  • ERB writing practice

    • Today we looked at the structure of the Magic Tree House stories.

    • With your partner, you created characters and events for each part of the structure.

    • That was your ERB “thinking time” or “planning time.”

    • You have notes.

    • Now — in the next 60 minutes write up your story as best you can.

    • You do not need to talk with your partner

    • You can tell the story however you’d like.

    • Try to tell your whole story in the next 60 minutes.

    • You do not need to write for more than 60 minutes, but (after you’ve done your math) you are welcome to keep writing!
