Shocking but true: for the first time, Anne & Cat took separate summer vacations.
As Jack, our nephew, was getting married in the UK in late August and Hawai’i schools go back in early August, Anne had to go alone.
Shocking but true 2.0: Tutu Cat would see the grandbaby before Tutu Anne!
Cat headed first to Ithaca, NY to visit with Leo (old UH friend, now working at Cornell) and Audrey (who also works at Cornell!). Oh, and Mocha too.
Leo and Audrey are plant folks so we saw lots of pretty flowers!
Cat then headed to Long Island to see his good friend Greg (from way, way back!) and Irene.
Greg is an artist. And his painting-rich book Above the Timberline looks as though it may become a film in the not too distant future! Exciting!
