65 years! Our friends John and Linda celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary shortly after Christmas.
We know John as Anne and John were on chapter together at the cathedral where they discovered both had attended the same Cambridge college.
Cat got to know John well as we’d eat together after chapter meetings when… Anne had to go to choir practice! (A scheduling conflict of which Director Nick is miraculously innocent).
John is the founder of RainSong Guitars, a respected maker of graphite (carbon fiber) guitars. John asked Cat to play at the celebration and kindly gave Cat a fabulous RainSong guitar for the occasion. “It’ll be used and unsellable after you’ve practiced with it for two months and performed with it, so you can keep it.”
Moki & Dixie and Blake the Biter let us stay with them when on Maui for John and Linda’s celebration. Blake lived up to his name. But is also deadly cute an old enough to be forgiven.
