Who’s Who on Page 3?

Whales, honu (sea turtles) and monk seals:

The humpback whales were leaping in January! Cat now has a better telephoto lens, so perhaps we’ll have crisper shots of the ’23 migration.

We’ve seen many, many honu this year. At one stretch of North Shore rock and seaweed we saw ten or so honu munching away.

And it’s been a bumper-crop for monk seal sightings!

Madagascar geckos get… big!

No, they never come in the house. Our hale is home to their smaller cousins.

We have no idea how this Madagascar lost her/his tail. The tail will grow back.

Family Service Choir: Cat and the HNSingers provide music for the second-Sunday-of-every-month family services at the Church of the Holy Nativity, the church associated with Cat’s place of work, Holy Nativity School.

Remarkably, the HNSingers (somehow) stayed alive during COVID. Always great fun.

Monk seals are endangered. That said, we’ve seen a good number this year!

A good sign, let’s hope.
